A well-designed high-pressure deep-embossing die-cutting or hot stamping machine is undoubtedly engineered with precision mechanics, aiming to extend the holding-pressure duration on the platform.
According to statistics, China has more than 18,000 baijiu-producing enterprises, consuming an estimated 60 billion bottles of baijiu annually! It’s easy to imagine just how many baijiu packages we use each year. Nowadays, high-end, mid-range, and even entry-level baijiu products are increasingly wrapped in exquisite packaging—often dazzlingly gold-embossed, intricately designed, and available in a wide variety of sophisticated box styles. Of course, this trend places higher demands on printing and packaging companies as well.
1. How to flexibly and effortlessly handle challenging, complex processes such as deep embossing and large-area hot stamping
In recent years, large-scale deep embossing and debossing, along with extensive hot stamping and relief printing, have become increasingly popular in liquor packaging. Unsurprisingly, this trend places stricter demands on the post-press equipment and processes used by printing and packaging companies—so much so that conventional die-cutting and hot-stamping machines can no longer meet the needs of these advanced techniques.
There may be a widespread consensus within the industry that these types of products require high-pressure embossing or hot-stamping machines. In the author’s view, however, the real core technology lies in the mechanical platform’s ability to maintain pressure over an extended period. Whether it’s creating deep, large-area embossing or achieving high-quality hot-stamping across vast surfaces, while both processes are executed under tremendous pressure, the key to delivering exceptional results is precisely this critical parameter of mechanical pressure-holding time. Without it, no matter how intense the pressure applied, the outcome will simply fall short of its full potential.
Here, when we talk about holding pressure time, we’re definitely not referring to a delay achieved by repeatedly engaging and disengaging the clutch—such a mechanism would quickly lead to clutch failure and result in extremely low production efficiency. Instead, well-designed deep-embossing or hot-stamping machines with high-pressure capabilities rely on sophisticated mechanical engineering to precisely extend the platform’s holding-pressure duration. As a result, these types of machines actually put greater demands on the manufacturer’s technical expertise. When selecting such equipment, pay close attention to whether the machine’s core materials are reliable and whether the design specifically addresses and optimizes holding-pressure time for this particular process—never rely solely on the rated pressure specifications provided.
2. The Efficient Transformation of Handcrafted Gift Boxes
The handmade gift box uses industrial cardboard as its base, with the surface elegantly printed and adorned using decorative colored paper. The production process is quite intricate, particularly the die-cutting and slotting of the industrial cardboard. Because industrial cardboard is relatively thick and heavy, it’s challenging to feed into die-cutting machines efficiently—or even at all—leading to low productivity. Moreover, removing waste material afterward becomes extremely difficult, further reducing overall production efficiency.
